    Project Manager. Development of a procedure for local wave damage assessment of the Ekofisk platform decks. Client: Phillips Petroleum Company Norway.

  • 1997-99.

    Project Manager. Development and verification of a procedure for computation of wave loading on offshore platform decks in free and diffracted wave fields. The procedure is an extension to the programme Waveload developed in 1981. Client: Phillips Petroleum Company Norway.

  • 1989.

    Project Manager for the research project FOCOS I – Hydrodynamic Forces on Complex Offshore Structures The project involved model tests with a jacket at scale 1:40. The measured and the calculated maximum forces were compared and design hydrodynamic force coefficients are established.

  • 1981.

    Development of Waveload a numerical procedure for determination of wave loading on offshore platforms.

Sterndorff Engineering was founded by Dr. Martin J. Sterndorff in 1988 as a part-time consultancy. In 2004 the company was changed to a small limited company and Dr. Sterndorff started to work full time in the company.
