    Determination of design ship impact loads for Skjold C STAR Platform, Tyra West E STAR Concept,Quasar Jacket Feasibility Study for PPCON, Svend A WideSTAR Concept, Roar A STAR Platform, Dan FD Reanalysis, STAR Platform for Norwegian North Sea Sector, Vallhall A Star Platform, and AMOCO South Everest Monotower. Client: Rambøll.

  • 1993.

    Determination design ship impact loads for the conceptual design of a STAR platform for 65 m water depth. Client: Mærsk Olie og Gas AS.

  • 1993.

    Determination of design ship impact loads for the design of a STAR type platform for Skjold B. Client: COWI.

  • 1991-92.

    Determination of design ship impact loads for the Suction Pile Platform concept, Valdemar Platform Reappraisal, Dan FD Further Development, Dan FE STAR platform, Mjølner Pre-conceptual Design, Trym Braced Conductor Platform, and Mobil UK Monotower Platform. Client: Rambøll.

  • 1989-91.

    Development of Impact II – a numerical programme for determination of ship impact loads on offshore platforms. Made in co-operation with Rambøll. Client: Mærsk Olie og Gas AS.

  • 1988-89.

    Extensively involved in the development of the STAR platform concept – a jack-up installed mono-tower platform. Conceptual and detailed design for Kraka, Valdemar and Dagmar was performed in co-operation with Rambøll. Sterndorff Engineering performed quality assurance and numerical simulations to determine ship impact loads which was the design load condition for the platforms. Client: Mærsk Olie og Gas AS.

  • 1981.

    Development and implementation of a mathematical/numerical model for evaluation of the damage from ship collisions between ships and offshore structures.

Sterndorff Engineering was founded by Dr. Martin J. Sterndorff in 1988 as a part-time consultancy. In 2004 the company was changed to a small limited company and Dr. Sterndorff started to work full time in the company.
